• Integrated Industrial Application Engineering department after purchase of Torrington Needle Bearing group from Timken.• Coordinated with Industrial Sales Director and Business Unit Managers to assign resources for supporting key customers and achieving corporate sales goals.• Created 3-day national distributor training school and scaled down 1-day version for use at customer facilities.• Developed and maintained new training manual, presentations and hands-on tools used on corporate training vehicle.• Creation a facility certification program for bearing users.• Developed program for training new Engineers.• Coordinated with technical centers in USA, Europe and Japan on global projects and initiatives to insure that customer expectations were met.• Maintained awareness of competitors and communicated new product developments back to our R&D group in Japan.• Functioned as Quality Manager for coordination of quality issues, new product approvals (PPAP, factory audits, etc.), product design changes, equipment procurement, etc.• Responsible for maintaining sample stock.• Managed an initial team of 5 which grew to 15.

• Provided technical support for Wind Turbine industry generator, main shaft and gearbox applications expanding USA market to over $13,000,000/year.• Was responsible for first hybrid ceramic ball bearing installed in Wind Turbine Generator in 2002.• Lead Engineer for Koyo’s advanced EXSEV product line primarily in the semiconductor and robotics industries.• Engineering and project manager for new $7,000,000/year x-ray spindle unit project.• Successfully petitioned US government to reclassify x-ray spindle units as non-bearing products.• Conducted training for European distributors, at EASA national meeting, Oklahoma State University program and many other groups and had papers published in several Technical journals (Machine Design, Pumps & Systems, EASA and IDC).• Engineering lead for Oracle ERP conversion project.

• Provided engineered solutions for transmission, engine and chassis bearing positions that expanded Powersports market from less than $200,000/year to over $7,000,000/year.• Instituted and staffed technical hotline to unburden Application Engineers and improve support for our Aftermarket customers.• Provided Engineering support to all West Coast customers in a wide variety of Original Equipment and Aftermarket industries.• Provided Engineering support for major hydraulic pump and motor manufacturers.• Created databases for tracking projects, drawings, samples, specifications and other critical documents.• Heavily involved in Koyo’s initial ISO9001 certification.• Coordinated national change from Multemp SRL grease to Mobil Polyrex EM.• Co-developed sales literature for new product offerings.
