My research focused on a custom built and designed Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometer with the addition of laser spectroscopy, in which I was involved in the instruments upgrades and operation. As a result I am familiar regarding high voltage power supplies, vacuum pumps, OPO/laser set up and operation, Instrument communication with LabVIEW, exporting data, and data analysis.

To create a user interface using NI LabVIEW, which would link a simple shutter, a rotation stage, 2 translation stages and a high sensitivity cMOS Camera into the one program. The program is involved but relatively simple to understand for any future users, and the program is still in use today, producing data for publishable peer-reviewed publications.
