I have played tennis in 51 countries and 119 cities all over the world, representing Romania. I have participated in all major Grand Slam tournaments in the world and had the privilege to meet many heads of state. I then moved to New York and coached some of the top players in the United States like John McEnroe and Vitas Gerulaitis. In 1982, I coached the US Federation Cup team which included Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. Also in 1982, I coached Chris Evert in the Whiteman Cup. In 1989, I owned and coached a Tennis Club in Long Island, NY. I sold the club in 1993 and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where I currently am the Tennis Professional at Ballantyne Hotel.I've written a book about my journey from communist Romania to the Oval Office called "Beyond My Dreams". It will be available soon in Hardback, Paperback and eBook.
