Coordinated the national operation of the society. Met regularly with the national coast-to-coast Board of Directors via conference call. Sat as the chair of the national watercolour exhibition and coordinated other events including the celebration of the 85th Anniversary of the Society held at the Art & Letters Club of Toronto in 2010. Represented The CSPWC at the Governor General's state dinner for HRH Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall at Rideau Hall. Gave one of my paintings to The Governor General. Gave one of my paintings to HRH Prince Charles, who is an Honourary Member of The CSPWC. Talked with both The Prince and The Governor General and mentioned the watercolour society The Governor General is the Patron of The Society and has formerely signed the shingle for each newly elected member.

I am a practicing artist using watercolours, acrylics, oils, and 'raku pottery'. My work is shown in various exhibitions and is also shown at "The Art of The Matter` Gallery in Aurora.I have recently won the Woolfitt`s Award in the CSPWC`S open international juried exhibition 'Open Water' at The J.B.Aird Gallery in Toronto (2011) and I also received an 'Award of Merit' in the Toronto Watercolour Society's 2012 exhibition "Aquavision". My work was also exhibited in the Mexican watercolour Biennial 2010.

Was elected for four 3 year terms as a Municipal Councillor for Humphrey Township, which eventually amalgamated with four other townships to become Seguin Township. Sat on many boards and committees, The Library Board, The Cemetary Board, The Recreation Committee, Committee of Adjustment, etc. and established a township arts council "Humphrey Arts Council" which also eventually became "Seguin Arts Council" when amalgamation took place 1998- 2000. Helped establish with other artist the Annual Art Tour of artists studios in the municipality. Also sat on district committees including the Business Association and The West Parry Sound District Museum among others.

Developed an art school for young and talented high school visual artists, with the help of all my staff colleagues. A very rewarding career.Taught visual arts, in total about 42 years, starting the first day of the new school 1965 and retiring in 1998, then teaching at the school in retirement for many years up to 2009.The school received a building addition for the "Art Centre" in 1972 and that is when I became the Art Director. Previous to that I had been head of the much smaller "Art Department" situated in the older part of the school from 1965 to 1972.Taught Graphics, Printmaking, Photography, Silkscreening, Etching, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Illustration, Life Drawing, Fashion Design, Offset Printing, Process Photography, Typesetting, Computer Graphics etc.Wrote the timetable for the Art Centre and used database management, DBase, to organize classes and students.Wrote and updated all courses of study along with my colleagues. Coordinated the introduction of computers to all parts of the program in the 1980's.Coordinated the advertising for the Art Centre advertising program within the board boundaries, visited many public schools, met with guidance personnel and interviewed new students to the specialized visual arts program. Conducted visioning exercises for the department every five years: where have we been, where are we now, where are we going?
