I have significant exposure to government processes and procedures. At MW Engineers I was a Director. In this role I was responsible for discharging the standard duties of a Company Director. In addition I managed the consulting side of the business, risk and financial matters in relation to the company insurances and planning. I was responsible for managing commercial issues and negotiations for the company. At its peak we employed 40 staff and operated from 3 offices in 3 states. During my time I was consulted to the NSW State Government for 10 years.

The Project I was responsible for was the reconstruction o9f the iconic Customs House at Circular Quay. The scope included the removal of escalators and steelworks and the installation of new entrances and opening to the heritage building. Part of the scope included the construction of a model pit with a trafficable glass floor. A spiral staircase providing access to new levels of the library was constructed. In this role I commenced work on the David Jones City Stores reconstruction. The work involved the replacement of 36 escalators in a functioning retail environment. In addition to this work was carried out on the façade of both buildings. This was difficult in a high intensity city environment and required the use of catch nets to protect the public and the heritage awning at David Jones. The project continued over a number of years.
