About Peter Mayne
I am an award winning composer, whose music has been used on films, programs and commercials around the world. My clients have included, BBC, ITV and SKY.To date, television shows I have worked on include: “Paul O’Grady: The Sally Army and Me”, “Land of the Midnight Sun” and “I Never Knew That About Britain”. I have also written for 65+ commercials for charities such as; Save the Children, Plan International, Concern, Action Aid, Sightsavers, and Friends of the Earth amongst others.My studio is equipped with all the usual synthesisers and high-end orchestral sounds that are required for producing high quality music for productions on time and on budget, and where finances allow I'm able to source performers for recording sessions, adding even more emotional pull and sonic depth to productions.As well as commercial work, I have also pursued various non-commercial projects such as an interactive music and image installation at the Edinburgh Festival. More recently I have entered the sample library market creating content for the Kontakt sampler from Native Instruments.
