• Responsible for the management of the operations functions, a member of the management team and operating group• Responsible for business planning and strategy, developing business objectives across Heartwood operations • Establishing and monitoring operational standards, budgetary controls, systems and procedures across operations• Maintain operational risk controls (inc. due diligence) and procedures across custody, settlement, fund management administration, corporate actions, dividends, cash management, ISA management and data control• Overall supervision and sign off of internal reconciliation procedures• Manage larger relationships with custodians, banks and outsourced service providers inc. contract negotiation and monitoring of service levels• Manage project development and change management prioritising IT development requirement with business areas• In role as CF10a (CASS Oversight) oversee internal CASS processes and procedures, produce internal CASS MI (inc. Board report and any ad-hoc breach reports), submit the monthly CMAR report and liaise with Risk and Compliance team in order to keep up to date with, and appropriately implement, any changes to CASS requirements• FATCA and ISA responsible officer registered with the IRS and HMRC with reporting accountability

• Responsible for a team processing the trade instruction and settlement for clients, investing in equities and fixed interest, in UK and overseas market gaining experience of European, Far East and Emerging Markets and the current local market regulations and restrictions • Check and verify trade instructions via various electronic links• Sign off daily reporting for open orders, stock and cash reconciliation• Monitor and resolve outstanding settlement issues. Liasing with brokers, dealers and fund managers when needed and process required error reporting or issue interest claims where necessary• Involved in custodian and broker relationship meetings and service reviews• Produce reports for new client set ups dealing with trade instruction and settlement issues• Interview and select new candidates for the section when vacancies arise• Review and maintain compliant written procedures• Merger – involved heavily in the migration of institutional clients from Kleinwort Benson Private Bank to DRCM. Responsibilities included monitoring stock transfers, setting up new account structures and procedural enhancements
