24 Commando Royal Engineers

Senior planning and operations officer in 24 Commando Royal Engineers, tasked with providing organic Close Support Engineering to Commando Forces, optimised for austere operations within the littoral environment and held at extremely high readiness.• Led with planning and executing all unit operations and overseas exercises, including major deployments of up to 150 personnel and equipment to Norway, Ukraine, E Africa, USA, Belize and the Caribbean. • Planned, assured and delivered Defence’s Crisis Response capability to the Caribbean during Core Hurricane Season, providing support to British Overseas Territories in the region in the event of a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation. • Implemented organisational and capability change within the Regiment, in line with the Littoral Strike programme, providing a light and agile military engineering capability to the Commando Forces while persistently engaged globally. • Planned and assured the military engineering contribution to the Commando Force Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation from Kyiv, Ukraine.

24 Commando Royal Engineers

Planning officer in 59 Commando Squadron, tasked with providing organic Close Support Engineering to 40 Commando Royal Marines, optimised for austere operations within the littoral. Deployed on multiple major overseas training exercises, including to Norway and USA. • Designed, planned and delivered a virtual training package for up to 70 personnel working remotely during the COVID pandemic, directly supporting business continuity across the organisation and maintaining operational readiness and productivity of junior staff members at reach. • Led with the planning and execution of all operations and overseas exercises within the Squadron, including the deployment of up to 100 personnel to the USA.• Generated and assured the readiness of the military engineering capability in support of a potential HADR operation in the Caribbean in support of the British Overseas Territories.• Provided military engineering advice to senior military leadership in the Commando Forces as the Battlegroup Engineer during major exercises in the UK and overseas.

Army Training Centre Pirbright

Responsible for the management and training of British Army Recruits in order to meet the standards required for entry and to maintain inflow to the organisation. • Commanded a Recruit training team and Platoon of up to 48 recruits, ensuring training was delivered in accordance with the Core Military Syllabus and acting as a role model to uphold the British Army’s Values and Standards. • Piloted a trial to empower junior staff with decision-making over recruit standards and suitability to serve in the Armed Forces. • Monitored both Permanent Staff and recruit welfare, championing mental resilience awareness and ensuring support was provided where required.• Organised and led an overseas Adventure Training expedition to Nepal, providing the opportunity for 13 junior staff members to participate in an arduous trekking expedition in a high-risk and remote location.

36 Engineer Regiment

Responsible for Commanding a Troop of up to 35 Royal Engineers soldiers delivering Defence’s Route Proving and Clearance capability. • Managed the careers of all soldiers within the Troop, developing their skills and providing guidance on their Continuous Professional Development. • Accounted for the maintenance and readiness of up to 30 complex military vehicle platforms, ensuring the fleet remained capable of delivering on operations and that the Troop were suitably trained to use the equipment.• Deployed to the Middle East as the Search Advisor in a small Short-Term Training Team, delivering specialist training to Partner Nation Special Security Forces.
