Main responsibilities: - Pitching ideas and contributing articles to the most prominent online political blog in Northern Ireland.

Main Responsibilities: - Writing articles in accordance with daily and weekly deadlines for print in the fortnightly issue of the magazine. - Writing for other Hot Press publications, including lifestyle magazine Best of Ireland, train news magazines Go Rail and Enterprise, and Hot Press’ music industry Yearbook. - Overseeing online content that goes onto hotpress.ie. This involves a variety of platforms (phone, tablet, computer), various mediums (text, video, photo) and can necessitate using a range of different production software applications. - Overseeing and instructing a team of placement students who work at Hot Press. - Conducting live interviews and video content with musicians, politicians and other prominent figures for Hot Press’ website and social media channels. - Planning and editing the book section of each fortnightly issue. - Recording content for national and local radio stations about contemporary Irish music and culture.
