Peter is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS), National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)). He is responsible for strategic directions and outreach as member of the International Advisory Board, and industry collaborations, research and education as non-executive representative for Australia and New Zealand.IKMAS is a centre of excellence in Malaysian and international studies within the framework of inter-regionalism, connectivity and inclusive development. Peter led major national projects implementing regulatory impact assessment systems (institutions, processes), reform programs and reviews in countries across Southeast and Central Asia including Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Kazakhstan.ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty. ADB, in partnership with member governments, independent specialists and other financial institutions, is focussed on delivering projects that create economic and development impact.

Peter established and led the Treasury Office advising the Cabinet of Ministers on business impacts from proposed and revised regulations, and directed regulatory reform programs to improve the quality of regulation from all government agencies and reduce the regulatory costs to business and accelerate private sector development.Queensland Treasury provides economic and financial advice to the Queensland Government, as well as services to the community to enhance the State's financial position and economic performance.

Peter led the strategic policy division responsible for industry innovation and reform, focused at creating new knowledge industries and reforming business environments.The Department of State Development and Innovation is focused on supporting business growth and fostering business innovation and investment in research infrastructure.

Peter led the commercialisation of major government business units and procurement, management and servicing arrangements across the Queensland Government, and established an architectural practice ‘incubator’ for developing young creative talent as a joint venture between industry, government and universities.Department of Public Works is responsible for the building design, construction, maintenance and other related services relevant to the Queensland Government's stock of public infrastructure.
