As a Licensing Executive at the University of Nottingham, I'm responsible for the commercialisation of academic research arising from Engineering and Physical Sciences activities across the institution. Prior to the above, I have been employed in a variety of roles with ProspectIP since June 2007 and my primary responsible is the successful delivery of our range of intellectual property (IP) support services, helping our clients to make the most of their valuable intellectual assets. I have over 20 years of industrial experience and a degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. I have considerable direct experience in supporting the commercialisation of engineering & applied science research in Universities, businesses, the public sector and research intensive organisations.Prior to joining ProspectIP I spent 5 years working for the East Midlands Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) providing consultancy to SME businesses in the area of productivity improvement and new product/services development.
