Following my qualifications in Industrial Electronics, I took up a role as Western Australian State Manager of Sydney based printing industry electronic equipment supply and support company Delairco in Perth, a position which I held for 4 years.I then accepted a transfer to Melbourne as Victorian/Tasmanian Service Manager for Seligson and Claire, a major National printing equipment supplier, responsible for a team of 15 engineers, servicing electronic typesetting and printing equipment at many major printers, typesetters and regional newspapers throughout Victoria.In 1983, launched Macpro Computers, a PC manufacturer with “Advance Australia” certification, due to the local content and commenced manufacturing and supporting the Macpro brand of desktops and network servers. As Managing Director, took the business into a number of vertical markets by setting up Partners in the Real Estate, Automotive and Hairdressing industries.Macpro Software was incorporated shortly after and we developed specialised software for Real Estate agents, which was handling Property Management, Sales Management and Marketing and was installed at more than 1,500 Agents throughout Australia and New Zealand over the next 10 years. As Managing Director of Macpro Software, I took the business from a small office in Melbourne up to fully staffed branch offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland, New Zealand.Macpro Software was sold to RP Data in 2001, so I returned my focus to the computer hardware company which I renamed to Macpro Technologies, with the intention of expanding the company’s offering’s to cover “End to End Business IT Solutions”.Macpro Technologies now offers a full range of Business IT Solutions, including Business Computers, Printers & Networking, Business Software, Consultancy & Training and Business Communications.
