Secured a job working as a Bartender/Waiter in both the restaurant and A La Carte Restaurant at the Lodge. After 4 weeks I was approached to take up the position of the F&B Supervisor. This involved me overseeing the daily on goings in both the restaurant and bar whilst hosting the restaurant of an evening. I had to manage staff that I once worked alongside and had to live with on a daily basis. I was offered sponsorship to take a permanent job and live in Australia for a lengthy period.

Approached after my 1st year at the camp to take a promotion and become the Land based activity director. This put me in charge of all land based activities (over 20 in total. My job was to manage all activity instructors on a daily basis in order for them to facilitate the most professional lessons over a period of 8 weeks. When staff had days off I had to make sure that cover was provided for all activities and that stand in instructors had set guidelines to instruct a high quality session.

Responsibilities: * Attended meetings, liaising with stakeholders on commercial matters. * Dealt with subcontractors during tender stage and also during the process of the works. * Finalised Subcontractor accounts. * Prepared tender and contract documents. * Subcontract payments on a monthly basis. * Inspected and then valued completed work. * Developed strong relationships with the clients and sub contractors. * Produced Cost and Value reports, quarterly reports and cash flow information. * Valued variations for both architects and clients, working closely with subcontractors. * Monitored the cost of site resources. * Site based for many of the projects, this allowed me to continually monitor progress against the programme of works. * Forged strong relationships with Project manager and on-site team.* Invoiced the clients QS on a monthly basis for payment of completed works.
