I have over three decades of experience as an IP attorney at Vinson & Elkins. I maintain an active practice balanced between transactional work and IP litigation. My courtroom experience encompasses all types of IP litigation (patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets and unfair competition) before state and federal courts, appellate courts, and the PTAB. Additionally, I represent clients in business transactions involving IP rights, including mergers and acquisitions, license agreements, joint development agreements, and computer hardware and software agreements. My clients hail from varied industries, including oil and gas, oilfield services, software, and biotechnology. In addition, as a former chemical engineer, I have a lot of experience representing clients in disputes and agreements involving chemical and chemical-processing technology.
