Responsible for creating Rubicon Water’s on-farm business unit, launching products and developing new markets for smart water technologies used in the sustainable production of food, fibre and beverage using less water to grow more crop. Rubicon’s on-farm Agtech solution - FarmConnect integrates automation, control and monitoring for On-Farm water use efficiency for use in projects in Australia and internationally.FarmConnect is a data driven platform that uses data analytics and predictive algorithms on cloud based computing to interpret real-time field conditions from smart sensors and connected devices. The solution’s deliverable is adaptive irrigation management using science-based field optimization to deliver dynamic irrigation prescriptions to each part of the property. In addition to smart operation of irrigation systems, newly generated knowledge from data ensures continuous improvement from season to season or between enterprises.

Co-founded the Australian smart water technology company in 1997 and was involved as part of the executive management team leading the development, launch and commercialisation of soil moisture sensor technology (C-Probe and AquaSpy) and cloud based near real time information platform (AgWISE).Established the company’s presence for the North and Latin American markets after relocating from Australia to California in 2000.Managed and developed the start-up business in United States for a 6 year period.Managed the agronomic support and developed the business activity across key irrigation markets across the USA and in regions in Latin America, Southern Europe, Mexico and Canada.Established commercial soil moisture and weather sensor communication networks in key regions of USA for the viticulture, cotton, citrus, row, tree and tropical crops.Implemented the personnel structure of the North American business, which employed 15 staff to deliver services and technology to North American agricultural water management market.

Founded Agrilink (Water Management Services) as a regional company in Western Australia in 1990, introducing innovative services and technologies that formed an integrated approach to strategic water management for Agriculture, Golf and Turf. Pioneered in the early 1990’s the integration of Agtech into agriculture production systems to improve crop quality, yield, reduce water and energy usage and ensure environmental sustainability. One of the first consulting agronomists to utilise continuous data from soil moisture probes in precision irrigation management for vineyards, potatoes, apples and turfgrass.This business formed the basis for the co-founding of Agrilink Holdings P/L in 1997 and later rebranded to AquaSpy Group P/L.
