I helped with grant writing, prospective donor research, donor retention and recognition, direct mail campaigns, peer to peer fundraising, analysis of departmental key indicators, and general development department needs. All in support of The Younique Foundation mission to help survivors of childhood sexual abuse find hope and healing and to defend the innocence of children.

Grantwell is a graduate student run philanthropic consulting organization at the Romney Institute of Public Management. My job is to recruit and coordinate relationships with clients and community partners for the Grantwell program. I also co lead a team of graduate students in managing projects related to the organizational strengthening and expansion of Grantwell. Previously I have worked on teams doing research for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Self Reliance Services Department, helped compile the annual report, and helped plan and carry out a 10-year anniversary celebratory event.

Masters of Public Administration Candidate.As part of the BYU MPA program, among other things I have done statistical analysis for Project Read to better understand literacy in Utah County, done research into and helped develop evaluation guidelines for non-governmental organizations to help the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Self Reliance Services department, program evaluation for the United Nations Development Evaluation Tool project, volunteer program analysis and consulting for HELP International, and A Child's Hope Foundation. I have also increased knowledge and skills in a wide array of areas like data analysis, organizational behavior, team building, communication, relationship management, volunteer management, fundraising and program analysis.

Nadi, Fiji

I co-led two groups of 20 youth and two parent builders, each for a two week long humanitarian experience in Nadi, Fiji. I supervised and help provide for the emotional, physical, and spiritual safety and growth of our group. I also coordinated with local workers and oversaw relationships with village leaders to ensure effective cross cultural communications and minimize cultural missteps.

Provo, Utah Area

With two other Health Counselors, was responsible for health and well being of between 800-1200 session participants per week for six weeks of EFY. Included routine medical care for sick and injured as well as helping with general session needs. Worked as part of EFY coordinating team for general session needs. Worked on incident prevention, team building, and team communication. Also was a counselor for two weeks, responsible for direct oversight and instruction of a youth group of 10-20 per week. Bulk of session in Provo, Utah, but also worked sessions in Taylorsville, Utah and Albany, New York.

Handled monthly credit card statements, biweekly deposits, daily bills, and balanced books. Gained experience in QuickBooks and account management.

Provo, Utah Area

Research assistant in the Dr. Stephen Goates' laboratory at Brigham Young University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Used a variety of chemical research techniques to assist Dr. Goates with experiments. Main project was working in development of Supersonic Jet Spectroscopy coupled with Thermal Desorption for the detecting and differentiation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) in fossil fuels. Worked frequently with Excimer-dye laser system and familiar with safe Chemical and lab practices and with laser safety. Was lab manager for last two semesters, assisting other research assistants with their work and ran team meetings.

Worked with a Co-director to lead a team responsible for the fundraising, marketing, family outreach, volunteer training and recruitment, and camp operations for a week long summer camp of 120 youth and 60 staff. Learned about project management, conflict management, and team building. Previously Volunteer Coordinator and Camp Counselor.
