Role Purpose StatementTo ensure that the security operations Quality Management systems is soundly developed, properly executed and systematically monitored to meet the objectives of the corporate Quality System and regulatory Requirements.Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities1. Assist in the continuing and Implementation of the security operations Quality system.2. Prepare reports for management evaluation including quality trending analysis reports and charts.3. Appraise the Quality Assurance Manager-Security of audit results and issues relating to the quality system. 4. Conduct periodic security operations quality audit to include contracted services & subcontractors and code share and Alliance partners under the guidance of quality Assurance Manager-Security as to improve corporate quality & reduce the company’s operations risks exposure.5. Track Findings and Corrective Actions to ensure that follow-up actions have been taken and are effective.6. Review and Compile documentations before and after audits. 7. Conduct operational Risk Assessment to strengthen operational programs, processes and control.8. Maintain security operations records and documents in line with the corporate quality requirements.9. Control and Coordinate quality training in security operations.

• Gather & disseminate intelligence on drug trafficking on employees inorder to prevent and detect staff involvement. • Ensure security of passenger baggage, cargo and courier to achieve customer satisfaction, confidence and loyalty. • Record and report daily occurrence in the Occurrence book at place of work to facilitate management decision making. • Safely process and handle firearms, ammunition to be carried onboard aircraft in compliance with National and International Civil aviation Security regulations. • Oversee and or screen passengers and baggage to ensure security and safety of aircraft, passengers and crew. • Accompany/Escort aircraft and passengers as may be dictated by the business requirement to ensure safety and security of aircraft, passengers, their baggage and crew. • To oversee security control of catering and auxiliary items to and from the aircraft. • Provide security coverage of baggage during offloading and loading of aircraft. • Conduct pre-flight cabin and holds security checks/search of aircraft to detect any suspicious items. • Man the CCTV; control Access to detect any unlawful interference and suspicious persons/objects/vehicles. • Ensure Revenue Integrity

a) Plan for the required reviews and updates of Security Services standards and procedures for compliance to current company policy and industry standards.b) Coordinate issuance of appropriate and up-to-date procedures and job instructions for Security operations network-wide and provide necessary guidance and advisory support for proper implemented.c) Plan and ensure internal audits, spot checks, inspections and tests are conducted to facilitate conformance with security procedures, standards and recommended practices. d) Timely preparation of audit, spot check, inspection and test reports for management planning & control purposes.e) Supervise maintenance of the security incident reporting system and liaise with responsible managers for appropriate closure of any findings.f) Undertake research on matters of security interest within the industry and provide relevant guidance on improvements for Kenya Airway operations. g) Coordinate the evaluation of training and other needs assessment for security staff, monitor compliance to staff competencies against set standards.h) Provide situational support and assistance on standards and procedures to security operations staff.i) Supervise and provide appropriate guidance to staff under him/her.

•Lead and facilitate individual projects to the delivery of specific project metrics and or goals and aligned to business objectives. •Assisting the Process Lead and/or Project Owner in implementing approved process improvement•Prepare and implement a Work plan to include interacting with various functions and leaders using Lean Six Sigma methodology to refine, improve and reduce defects in processes, improve internal and external customer satisfaction and decrease costs.•Focus on breaking down existing processes into manageable pieces and creating documented Standard Operating Models (SOM) for all necessary processes as an outcome. •Provides visible advocacy for process improvement objectives and builds wider departmental engagement.•Provide status and regular reports on key deployed focused objectives.•Facilitate the implementation of 5S – Workplace organization, Focused Improvement, Teamwork and Visual Management across all responsible Implementation teams•Ensure regular and relevant communication to Stakeholders in the change process with respect to projects.
