CurrentDuties and Responsibilities1. Fleet Modelling o Conduct a comprehensive review of the inland fleet structure.2. RFP Logistics Leado Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) project with six logistics service providers to gain insights on future warehousing strategies.o Facilitate initial engagements with vendors and compile a comprehensive list of data requirements for proposal submissions.o Collaborate with internal teams to gather the necessary data, addressing any challenges encountered during the compilation process.3. Capacity Supplementation Needso Assess short-term capacity needs and implement solutions through short to medium-term warehouse leases.o Analyze the potential benefits and savings associated with the new warehouses and its operational modeling.o Oversee the activation and operationalization of a short-term warehouse addition prior to peak periods to enhance overall capacity.o Develop and cost a warehousing maintenance plan aimed at improving the condition of warehouses through additional capacity.4. Cycle Counting and Stock Managemento Define and implement a cycle counting process to ensure accurate stock pulling from designated bins and improve stock accuracy.o Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to establish control mechanisms, addressing issues such as stock rotation and write-offs caused by incorrect stock retrieval practices by forklift drivers.5. Depot Audit Gap Closureo Collaborate with SHEQ to ensure timely closure of identified audit gaps within depots, serving as a source of escalation for unresolved issues.6. Order to Delivery Lead Times and Process Optimizationo Review and critically assess the order to delivery process, which currently operates on a 48-hour lead time, identifying inefficiencies and dead zones.o Conduct on-site evaluations of the process to observe inefficiencies firsthand and propose streamlining activities to enhance efficiency.
