•Systematic filing and maintaining of payment vouchers and other documents in an orderly manner for easy retrieval•Internal and External communication with banks creditors debtors and KRA officials•Petty cashier responsible for the float, carrying out payments to employees and keeping records of all the payments made and amounts received.•Entering transactions into the accounting system; posting invoices, and generating payment vouchers for payment to the suppliers•Assisting members of the finance team in completing monthly financial reports•Reconcile allocated payable accounts by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.•Preparing monthly bank and cashbook reconciliation to ensure it aligns with the actual monthly cash-flows.•Preparing, filing and submitting all statutory returns as provided by the law (PAYE, VAT, NSSF and NHIF) on a timely basis.•Assisting the finance department in ensuring timely and accurate periodic closing of financial statements•Liaising with external auditors and providing relevant documents during interim and final audit•Maintaining cashbook and entries, posting to general ledgers and ensuring reconciliation of the ledger balances

•Preparing tax returns, process cheques, RTGS/EFT deposits and other payments•Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations•Preparing statement of financial position, income statement, and statement of cashflow•Accounts Payable/Receivables processing and reconciliation•Evaluating expense reports to ensure they align with statutory and regulatory taxes•Preparing journal entries and month end close balances•Assisting in preparation of budgets by understanding organizational goals, projecting the income and identifying expenses•Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures•Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records and other roles as assigned•Accounting for fixed assets (depreciation and preparation of asset movement schedules)•Processing invoices and payments of vendors1•Undertaking periodic inventory checks and reconciling the differences•Preparing, filing and submitting all statutory returns as provided by the law (PAYE, VAT, NSSF and NHIF) on a timely basis
