I am the General Manager of Specialty Products for Fonterra, overseeing a nationwide team and embedding a culture of innovation and resilience to achieve our commercial targets while ensuring manufacturing best practice. I have been able to lead and mentor our teams to drive performance and capability, improving staff engagement and productivity and enabling career development and growth. Across my career, I have successfully expanded product ranges, implemented lean manufacturing initiatives, secured regulatory approvals for new and existing products and led cross-functional teams in the attainment of ISO and other quality verifications. I have shaped long-term strategy, led transformational change initiatives, secured capital investment and optimised operational performance. Overseeing global supply chains and managing budgets, I have consistently improved commercial performance, rationalising and restructuring plants when needed, and always creating a sustainable operational and commercial framework to achieve the organisation’s long-term goals. I am committed to environmental stewardship, driving initiatives to minimise our carbon footprint, reduce waste and optimise resource usage throughout the production process. Embracing digital solutions, I have championed innovative technologies and automation solutions to modernise manufacturing processes, enhance agility and stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry landscape. With a strong focus on providing teams of over 1,150 with a safe work environment, I have embedded cultures that embrace health and safety as a focus, including with sites that were recognised under legislation of Major Hazard Facilities. I have a track record of reducing workplace incidents and am committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all of our people. My earlier career includes roles as Production Manager, Process Manager and Plant Manager, where I provided hands-on leadership to teams and developed technical expertise across dairy and FMCG products. I hold a Bachelor of Technology, majoring in Manufacturing and Industrial, from Massey University.
