Responsible for the operation of one of the largest paper machines in Europe, over £100 million of plant on shift. Day to day duties included controlling and troubleshooting the process, ensuring the production plan was followed and quality targets met using the latest industrial IT systems. Required to produce a written report of the events and process changes during the shift, Carried out TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) 1st level checks on pumps, motors and high speed rolls. During maintenance shuts, I led a team of operators to carry out and replace wearing parts of the paper machine.to achieve our goals standard operating systems are used along with Kaizan and Root Cause Analysis and most other bench marked practices in automation, hydraulic, and pneumatic upskilling, rising to the challenge of constant change.
