My responsibilities include:- Propose and implement projects to reduce manufacturing costs, improve line flow, optimize the process, and improve quality.- Analyze and develop manufacturing procedures, process instructions and provide training to employees. - Develop and implement plans for scale-able manufacturing processes to meet customer's demand.- Lead an initiative to reduce manufacturing variances by analyzing the standard vs actual material and labor costs. Identify root cause of variances and set corrective action plans to eliminate them.- Communicate and collaborate across multiple departments to drive effective decision making and actions to achieve project's objectives. - Support and drive continuous improvement for the end to end business process.

Two year development program consisting of 3 eight month rotations in various roles within operations. The program includes opportunities for associates to gain experience in cross-functional roles, be exposed to senior leadership, obtain specialized training, and prepare for a leadership role. Rotation 3: Manufacturing Engineer/Continuous ImprovementOceanside, CA- Co-lead a month long capstone project to end the rotation program. Created a value stream map and identified 5 key areas to focus our improvement efforts. - Developed a baseline to start measuring OEE utilizing quality control process checks. - Analyzed capacity vs. demand to verify bottlenecks and advise on proper improvement actions. - Improved quality note processing time by 83% for final inspectors. - Decreased tooling downtime by 10% by increasing capacity of the tooling area. - Implemented visual factory methods to allow quick identification of how the process was operating.- Drove continuous improvement efforts in PIM (Process Improvement Management), 5S, Quick Change Over, Cell Design and 3P (Production Preparation Process). - Lead a Kaizen event in Quick Change Over for our 5 Axis CNC machines and achieved a 51% time reduction in setup times by reducing and streamlining external and internal process steps. Rotation 2: Continuous ImprovementEl Cajon, CA- Created an End to End business process SIPOC map to identify waste and improve communication between departments. - Analyzed product demand and segregated product into high and low volume part numbers to reduce lead time by creating a stocking plan.- Implemented a workflow SharePoint site to improve information flow between multiple departments for "Return to Vendor" issues. Increased accountability by enabling each process step to be visible.Rotation 1: Continuous ImprovementHarrisburg, PA- Completed a MR&F kanban project that reduced machine downtime by 8.3%.- Lead a QCO Kaizen event.

-Taught the Freshman Experience Class WVUE 191.-Supported the Mountaineer Success Initiatives for freshman to help students adjust and be successful in their college career.-Participated in Early Alert Programs to help students recover from academic trouble.-Served as a student success coach/mentor, and tutor undergraduate students.-Participated in a professional development program to prepare students for their professional careers. -Held office hours for students.

- Helped implement a 5S system in the inventory room of the Cath lab- Created a Material Replenishment & Flow process by implementing Kanban cards to act as a visual cue so the staff knew when they were out of an item in the room. - Performed time studies of the registration process across the hospital. Analyzed whether a central registration center or separate registration centers for each department was more efficient.

- Conducting time studies of the manufacturing process for Orthotics and Prosthetics. - Performed conversion cost analysis to identify profit margins on specific product lines. This enabled the organization to target improvement initiatives to increase revenue and profit.
