‘Participatory Assessment of Land Degradation and Sustainable Land Management in Grassland and Pastoral Systems (PRAGA)’ GEF funded project with a team of experts from FAO and a local NGO, Camp Alatoo from Kyrgyzstan. The main focus of the project is to research, identify and report key indicators of land degradation in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan with emphasis on integrating scientific approach and local community participation in the assessment and validation as part of the five pilot countries (including Uruguay, Burkina Faso, Niger & Kyrgyzstan) with the aim of promoting sustainable land management.

Baseline research analyst of the ‘Participatory Assessment of Land Degradation and Sustainable Land Management in Grassland and Pastoral Systems (PRAGA)’ GEF funded project with a team of expertise from IUCN, FAO, Kenya Livestock department and Osilalei Limited. Development of high level brief maps and assist in Kenya PRAGA portal design and development.

Coordinating the implementation of CropMon activities. Carrying out ‘Training of Trainers’ sessions (agricultural extension officers) amongst the Kenyan partners. Sensitization of Geo-information technology in the CropMon project. Reviewing and trouble shooting of CropMon tools i.e. both mobile apps and portals (restricted access). Participation in improving service delivery and the research & development component.

Worked on the spatial-temporal rangeland carrying capacity model for Mara-ecosystem under the project MaMaSe/MARIS (Mara Rangeland Information System).
