Managing a team of 7 IT professionals. Maintaining a positive, professional working environment to optimize all IT department staffs’ development and wellbeing. The department includes the following disciplines - in-house developers, network infrastructure, internal and external firewalls security, backup operators and Helpdesk. Oversea IT Security, infrastructure, policies and procedures of offshore Guernsey Branch.  Annual budgets/forecasts for IT Capital and Operational expenses. Closely monitoring IT finances, regularly reviewing budgets to meet spending targets. Annual Internal and external audits and remediating all findings in an agreed timeframe and the annual PCIDSS audit for Swift infrastructure to ensure compliance. Annual review of SLA with Head office Manage the annual business continuity test across hybrid infrastructure locally and in collaboration with international entities to ensure business ability to continue in the event of most scenarios. Undertake the annual test for SCV to ensure Financial Service Compensation Scheme regulations are met and the business is compliant. Regularly assess and remediate IT Risk register ensuring all IT risks have adequate controls in place. Meeting weekly and monthly KRI’s in-line with policy and procedural requirements and preparing detailed reports for the Board. Maintaining a high level of cyber security awareness which includes ensuring all “Known vulnerabilities, patches, upgrades are applied” being proactive and trying to identify potential risks, ensuring staff are kept fully aware of email and physical risks. Cyber simulation test and table top exercises for key IT staff and departmental heads. Remain informed on current emerging security / software application technologies.
