I was attached to 6 Training Group. This was an Army Reserve Posting as a direct entry officer rising from Lieutenant to Major. The duties were predominantly recruiting of General Enlistment and Officer Cadet candidates.

When I first started, the Douglas Parker centre was the biggest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. I was responsible for Psychological services across five teams of health professionals, 3 orthopaedic, 1 vocational rehabilitation and one pain management team. We ran four week outpatient pain management programs as well as designed individual programs for those with PTSD, Adjustment Disorder, depression, anxiety, substance abuse etc. After rehabilitation Tasmania took over, I was involved with a dedicated pain management unit which ran four week intensive live in programs addressing all facets of pain management.
