For my third year of University I was working as an English Language assistant in a school in Hamburg, Germany. I worked with students ranging from 11-16 years old, sharing my knowledge as a native English speaker. Part of my role included helping out in lessons with general classwork as well as taking small groups out to practice their speaking (which continued during online lessons). Outside of the classroom, lesson preparation and marking homework made up a significant part of day to day work.
