Led team responsible for all local & regional buying throughout the Waterstones estate.Managed the core ranges for a number of categories including Fiction, Crime, UK Travel, Spirituality, Religion, Reference, Philosophy, Poetry and Reference. Delivered significant growth in sales and market share.Managed the commercial relationships with a number of publishers and suppliers.Renegotiated terms contracts with numerous publishers, in some cases securing base terms increases of >10%. Proactively sought out and developed highly profitable new business. Implemented new supply chain procedures which greatly improved the speed and efficiency of supply.

Managed stock availability for Waterstones.com, an online catalogue of over 4 million titles.Responsible for forecasting and ordering for all promotions and key title releases across all categories.Implemented a new stock sharing system which saved the business £1 million in stock over Christmas 2010.Grew the availability score by 11% in my year in the role.Developed excellent knowledge of Excel, databases and SAP.
