Bioprocessing Trainer in the National Institute for Bioprocessing, Research and Training, Dublin Ireland.I specialise in downstream processing, and QC analytics of biopharmaceutical therapeutics.I find myself most engaged in my work when mastering new techniques: the theory and mechanisms by which they works, the practical operating procedures, and obtaining full competence by troubleshooting the technique for specific cases.I obtained a first class honours B.A. in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin, where a strong focus is put on biochemical techniques and the underlying theories of biochemical processes from cellular through molecular levels.My PhD research focused on the structural basis of poxviral antagonism of the innate immune system. I used a variety of methods to express, purify and characterise the structure and interaction of proteins which have demonstrated pathological effects in human.Experienced with bacterial fermentation, mammalian culture, phage display, protein expression and purification, chromatography, GMP, and QC bio. analytics.
