Managed a team of as many as 11 full time employees, 5 independent contractors, and several vendors in all aspects related to receiving title insurance orders, performing and delivering title searches, providing preliminary title reports, and addressing customer service issues.Responsible for aspects of Human Resources including, but not limited to, candidate selection, interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, discipline, evaluation, and voluntary/involuntary separation.Evaluated vendor options, negotiated pricing, and made strategic sourcing recommendations to the VP of Operations.Worked with the IT department to revise several departmental reports to more efficiently address relevant data needs. Acted as a systems analyst for other department managers to do the same for their departments.Analyzed economic conditions and provided strategic recommendations to the executive team.

In coordination with the IT department, I developed department reporting and tracking systems to accurately monitor orders for City of Chicago services from the placement of the order through the closing.

Assisted the Post Closing and Policy Department managers in resolving numerous issues related to real estate closings and issuing title insurance policies. Reviewed mortgage payoffs to ensure funds collected were adequate to release the lien.Provided innovative solutions to problems on a daily basis by applying a fresh, customer centric perspective and utilizing technology in ways the organization had not considered.

Responsible for all aspects of Bookkeeping including, but not limited to, A/P and A/R duties, bank statement reconciliations, financial statement preparation and presentation.
