Skill Force is a project that is delivered by recently retired service personnel and is school based. The programme is largely based upon Life Skills and leads to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, St. John’s First Aid Award and other vocational qualifications.As part of a two person team I was responsible for creating and developing a training program for a Pilot scheme. I created and delivered lesson plans on multiple subjects, assessing and evaluating student progression and conducting remedial training for those requiring it. I was also required to prepare reports and compile statistics as directed.The role of Skill Force Instructor was challenging, so the ability to work effectively, with continuity, under extreme pressure was a definite prerequisite, as was being able to conduct stimulating and productive activities in a variety of environments. I liaised with outside agencies and planned and conducted expeditions.Throughout my employment I have had to demonstrate that I am patient, responsible, efficient, friendly, an excellent communicator on all levels, enthusiastic and resourceful, committed and extremely well motivated. I have excellent leadership skills and above all I am professional regardless of the pressures of a situation.
