CurrentI am an unlicensed aircraft mechanic currently working for Airtanker Services UK (EASA Part 145 Organisation) based at RAF Brize Norton on the Airbus A330-200 (Voyager) Aircraft. I have worked at Airtanker for the past two years. During this time, I have acquired extensive aircraft maintenance experience working as an unlicensed aircraft mechanic on the Airbus A330. I have also successfully completed other related training courses such as Human factors, Fuel tank safety training, EWIS and I have also recently successfully completed my EASA Part 66 B1 licence exam modules with a view of becoming a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer.Roles and responsibilities:• Unlicensed aircraft mechanic on Airbus A330-200 working both on line and base hangar maintenance.• Successful completion of A330 familiarisation course• Successful completion of Cat A licence Type course• Carry out Daily and Weekly inspections, A-checks, Scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance, Post and pre-flight inspections• Detachment maintenance and servicing of the aircraft while operating away from main base at times in hostile territory and inclement weather• Ensuring the airworthiness and operating capabilities of the aircraft in order to achieve the task. • Fault diagnosis and carrying out repair in accordance with the AMM• Working independently, working within a team and working with other trades e.g. Avionics and ground handlers to accomplish tasks• Updating aircraft documentation on the tech-log and electronically (on Envision)
