The role entails offering technical advise and supervision to a team of close to 100 employees.Developing long term landscape strategies that range from planting plan designs,irrigation installations,execution and implementation,training and mentoring,conservation and sustainability and key maintenance plans.It also integrates key business goals and ensuring that vision and strategy of the organization is taken to the next level.

This entails offering consultancy services in landscaping, agronomy, greenkeeping, developing machinery inventories, putting up new structures and long term landscaping and golf course solutions. Preparing landscaping and planting plans for implementation and clients use. Delivering timely projects and follow ups to ensure they are well established and putting up a robust team to facilitate long term maintenance needs are achieved and put in place.

This role entails leading the technical landscaping team of colleagues and consultants to implement projects within the Urban services department of the city. The role involves identifying priority landscaping areas, preparing designs and planting plans, implementing them and putting into place structures and systems for long term landscaping needs. This is in line in ensuring that the city delivers 30% green spaces that are in line with the master plan. Developing a machinery inventory that will ensure these deliverables are met. Putting up a plants nursery that will go a long way in ensuring seedlings are locally produced. Preparing annual budgets to ensure that costs are managed in a prudent manner.

Overseeing a machinery inventory and making sure that it is well maintained and serviceable. Delivering a world class golf course to guests and mebers that is maintained in pristine and bespoke conditions.

Overseeing day to day maintenance of a mixed landscape that includes a 9 hole golf course, recreational areas, landscaped gardens, helipad, club house, jogging track and nature trails.
