During my tenure as a welding supervisor with Saipem at the Dangote fertilizer site in Lagos, Nigeria, I had the privilege of leading a dedicated team of welders in executing critical welding tasks essential to the project's success. Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, I played a key role in ensuring the timely completion of welding activities while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.My responsibilities encompassed overseeing all aspects of the welding process, from pre-welding preparations to post-weld inspections. Over the years since i join Saipem in 2007 till date, I collaborated closely with project managers and engineering teams to interpret project specifications and translate them into actionable welding procedures. Through meticulous planning and coordination, I ensured that welding operations aligned with project timelines and budgetary constraints.As a welding supervisor, I was committed to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within my team. I provided comprehensive training and guidance to welders, emphasizing best practices in welding techniques and safety protocols. By promoting open communication and teamwork, I cultivated a positive work environment conducive to achieving project objectives efficiently and effectively.In addition to supervisory duties, I actively participated in quality control initiatives to uphold the integrity and reliability of welded structures and components. I conducted regular inspections to identify any defects or deviations from welding standards, implementing corrective measures as needed to maintain compliance with project requirements.My experience at the Dangote fertilizer site lagos Nigeria, equipped me with invaluable skills in leadership, project management, and technical expertise in welding. I am proud to have contributed to the successful execution of the project and to have played a role in advancing the infrastructure and industrial landscape of Nigeria.
