CDTF is held with the mandate to support community development initiatives of poor Kenyan communities through their participation and involvement, in development projects, using a flexible demand driven funding mechanism that provides financial and technical support for development projects in health, education, technical training, water supply and sanitation, agriculture and livestock production, economic infrastructure, income generation, environment conservation, threatened ecosystems, solid waste management and environmental awareness and advocacy. My current duties revolve around the following:->Reviewing various Community Based Organizations (CBO) proposals for CDTF funding under the Community Environment Facility Program (CEF) and according to European Union (EU) & Danida grant contracting procedures.>Undertake project auditing, accounts reporting ,fund expenditure calculations, finance assistant roles and maintain Community Environment Facility Program (CEF) asset register.>Assist Technical Officers on monitoring and evaluations during fieldwork sessions.>Undertake project auditing on Community Environment Facility Program (CEF) assigned projects and prepare their fund disbursements with proper documentation.

 Preparation of cheques and payment vouchers. Withholding and processing of all statutory payments in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations. Compilation of financial documents for auditing. Preparation of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) instructions. Additional duties as assigned by the Finance Assistant and the Financial Specialist.
