I also plan in any work that cannot be carried out in normal hours, arranging for shutdowns of electrical supplies and any temporary supplies if needed.I line manager to 8 shift technicians, 6 Electricians and 3 Maintenance assistants, reporting to the Electrical delivery manager. I will also step in for the Assistant Mechanical Engineer in his absence to manage the mechanical team.Provide technical advice and guidance to staff when required. Ensure that staff are trained appropriately for their role. I carry out the annual appraisals process and the subsequent mid point reviews of the electrical team, dealing with if necessary any disciplinary issues. The maintenance department has many service contracts, the post requires the supervision of the contractors carrying out this work and its quality, reporting either to the contractors directly or to the contract manager if there is any issues to resolve. Liaising with other departments within the Estates and Facilities departments regarding any work being carried out within the Hospital.
