Head of the newly formed Fish and Wildlife Field Management Section. The former Divisions of Fisheries and Wildlife were merged to form the Division of Fish and Wildlife Resources. The position was a term limit position whereby the incumbent was evaluated every four years to determine if he or she would be retained.Supervised five Regional Fish and Wildlife Resource Administrators, two Staff Biologist one each for Wildlife and Fisheries. Responsible for the implementation of fisheries and wildlife programs for the entire state. Seventeen District Fish Biologists, seventeen District Wildlife Biologists, eight regional fish and wildlife technicians and numerous secretaries carried out the duties and responsibilities required to ensure that section fulfilled this goal.

Responsible for fisheries management in five counties in Region IV. District included St. Clair, Clinton, Washington, Randolph and Monroe Counties. Managed five state lakes and the Illinois Power 2,000 acre Baldwin Lake. The state lakes included Washington County, Randolph County and the three lakes at Frank Holten State Park. Provided technical assistance and field management to other public, organizational, and private lakes totaling over 5,000 separate bodies of water. Conducted fish sampling using nets, electro fishing boats and seines. Treated aquatic vegetation as needed.

Fisheries Intern. Conducted otter trawling in Lewis and Clark Lake to evaluate fisheries reproduction and larval fish densities. Trawling was carried out bi-weekly. Gill netted tail-water of Gavin's Point Dam to sample fish species composition in the Missouri River below dam. Netting was performed bi-weekly. Assisted in the preparation of scientific papers for publication.

Performed a variety of x-ray procedures and exams.
