    • Coordinated catalyst bed replacements including ordering over 190M lb of platinum CCR catalyst, 2.1MM lb of hydrotreating catalyst for CFHT, and 1.5MM pounds of hydrotreating catalyst for ULSD.• Project Engineer for installation of a hydrogen pipeline to the butane/butylene Hydro-Isom reactor to eliminate contaminants and increase the isomerization of the catalyst. 198% IRR (Return of $875M per year).• Followed Capital Budget Procedure for project justification of CCR furnace metallurgy upgrade re-tube work projected for upcoming turnaround in order to extend equipment life. $10MM project.• Optimization project to re-tray amine absorber utilizing advanced tray tech-nology allowing unit to run between outages and eliminate the need to cut re-finery crude rates between planned outages. Savings of $1MM per unplanned outage (Two per four year run – between turnarounds).• Single point of contact for EPA and TCEQ compliance. Coordinated numerous fired stack tests on incinerators and heaters associated with maximum throughput permitting for critical process units. Resulted in a 10% increase in refinery crude throughput.• Redesigned mist elimination systems in 16 Hydrogen Purification Unit vessels in order to eliminate costly environmental events leading to refinery shut-downs.• Revised Delayed Coker Unit’s naphtha export pipeline in order to increase throughput to Sour Crude Unit.• Six Sigma training and green belt attained.• Participated in multiple Root Cause Analyses (RCA).• Led HAZOP, MOC, and PHA associated with my projects and participated in multiple others. Created process monitoring simulations and schematics for optimizing oil refining units utilizing process data collection software and ASPEN Tech (HYSYS).
