My name is Peter Patsiopoulos. I am a caring, outgoing, and dedicating person whose mission is to give all individuals an equal opportunity to be involved in sport regardless of their age, gender, race and religion. My primary focus is to coach sports and be the kind of coach to be known as a mentor and role model rather than just a “coach”. Throughout my young career, I have had the opportunity to work and mentor younger athletes both on and off the field. At work, I have had the opportunity to work in intense, high pressure situations, lead various work teams and organize events.I believe these experiences have given me the key skills to get a taste of what I will experience in the industry. By being around sport, I feel that I can transfer my skills to younger individuals to make them better young men and women in terms of knowing what is ethical and unethical as well as being self-motivated, enthusiastic and young leaders. When I am not at work, I enjoy expanding my social skills. I always find something to do with somebody or a group. I am always the first person to message a group chat “hey what’s everyone up to tonight?? Want to hang out??” Expanding my social skills will only make me a better person in life as it will teach me how to deal with customers and communicate with people in general. My personal skills consist of:• I am always up for a challenge• Open to learning new tasks• Role model and leader The best feeling for me personally is that I make a difference in people’s lives and they take things that they learned from me and become a better person from them. My love and passion for sports has led me to continue my academic career in Sport Management. It was not until I was 10 years old that I realized that sport is more than just a “game”, it is a lifestyle. Realizing that made it clear that I wanted to do something sport related in the future very evident. And now it’s up to my generation and I to ensure that the next generation follows in our footsteps.
