Experienced software developer, with excellent knowledge and experience of C and C++ under GNU/Linux (GCC/LLVM) and MacOS (with some previous experience of Objective-C) for High Performance Computing for Computer Graphics, as well as good knowledge of Python in addition to gaining experience with Rust.Currently working in the Computer Graphics/VFX industry - with significant experience of things ranging from 2D image/pixel processing algorithms, scene graph processing, geometry processing/subdivision through to offline/online 3D graphics rendering/raytracing work through to GUI app/tool development for artists - working at Wētā FX/Weta Digital on rendering (inc. on Wētā's bespoke Manuka pathtracing renderer) and pipeline tech, and previous experience at MPC (Katana, Renderman) and The Foundry (Nuke compositor).Have significant previous experience of varied software domains, from bespoke solutions for defence industry clients, high-performance back-end webserver / network / database infrastructures including distributed systems, through to GUI development.
