I am developing and applying bioinformatic methods and deep learning approaches for the analysis of cell-free DNA and single-cell transcriptomics data: I'm working on improving the detection and clinical monitoring of pediatric cancers via liquid biopsies, based on their epigenetic properties (e.g. Peneder, Stütz et al., Nature Communications 2021). I am also building a multi-modal AI model for transcriptomics analysis, and I am analyzing single-cell sequencing data of in vitro systems to learn more about how pediatric cancers arise.
