Took some time to pursue a dream: heading out of home in one direction until I came back again. After four continents and some great stories, I landed back in Seattle.

As a consulting manager, I worked with Pariveda and client teams to identify value, strategize, build, and deliver the right solution in complex situations. I helped guide and mentor individual contributors through on-the-job challenges and through the promotion process.- At a major online travel agency, I served as engineering and Agile delivery manager on ground-up A/B testing functionality in new Kafka-based omnichannel marketing platform. I led the project from build-vs-buy strategy to initial production launch. In this work, I had the opportunity to lead developers around the world to implement A/B platform, analytics, and machine learning capabilities.- At the same client, I also served as the engineering lead for Virtual Agent chatbot system for their global hotel partners, enabling major reductions in expensive support for complex cases like hotel payout breakdown. On this project, we also implemented AI-driven automated translation capability provided by LanguageIO, and integrated it into Salesforce Contact Cloud infrastructure.- Working with an international sustainability services client, I took on the roles of technical architect and Agile/Scrum delivery manager for new client billing system. This new system replaced inefficient manual processes, drastically reduced invoicing workload, and minimized billing errors. We integrated custom C# .NET Core development with Salesforce, GoTransverse billing automation platform, and client’s custom data infrastructure in AWS and Azure hybrid cloud environment- Internally at Pariveda, I mentored junior and intermediate-level consultants on career development, skill building, self-advocacy, and promotion processes, in both formal and informal contexts. I even got the chance to present firm-wide on developing effective mentoring relationships. I also supported recruiting, interviewing, candidate evaluation, and consultant-to-project matching to build effective teams

Together with local and regional clients, I have built software solutions that deliver business value through a solid technical foundation.- Worked with a major online travel agency to handle platform customization for sister brands, including the design, development, and rollout of several major lines of business and user account integration on this white-label platform. This allowed specialized brands to focus on core competencies while offering a full line of travel options and an integrated user experience on a mature platform, delivering exceptional value to both the travel agency and their customers.- Served as tech lead at a global top-5 auto manufacturer to build out a new AWS DevOps platform, enabling retail transformation initiatives that integrate marketing campaigns, dealership experiences, and fully-online automotive sales. Our team identified, planned, and rolled out improvements to enhance developer productivity, ensure high availability, enable self-service capabilities, and reduce costs.

I served as a volunteer assistant to a UX researcher seeking to understand cross-cultural computer science education. The work was sponsored by the US Department of State Fulbright program and US Agency for International Development (USAID), and I served as an onsite volunteer supporting her program.In this role, I mentored high-school level students on Android mobile app development using the Google/MIT App Inventor platform and Firebase. I also contributed to curriculum improvements at Build Bright University in Siem Reap and the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Our students also took part in a Cambodian national app development competition, where they took home a top-three national finish!

Worked with student organizations, faculty, local administration, and UW Tri-Campus administration to identify student needs and develop workable solutions. Managed 11 student staff members for on-campus outreach, lobbying with the Washington State legislature, and internal matters including project budgeting and staffing.
