Once introduced to Digital Signal Processor [DSP] firmware back in the good ole days, I fell in love with the whole genre. It is especially satisfying to me to make the hardware sit up and bark on command. As a second career, I get to utilize my creative side from the first career in all kinds of ways typically in developing solutions that meet or exceed system requirements.I find it especially satisfying when a customer request for customization, that in most cases would require rework of the hardware, can be done in firmware.Specialties: Overall system view and ability to spot and identify white space in the design in all kinds of firmware designs and operating systems; complete solution or part of an overall design.Grinding it out and making time to market with quality a reality. Determination and resourcefulness in doing what has to be done in order to get the job done.Ability to cut through all the gazillion details and identify which ones are priority and require attention first. Again time to market with quality focus.
