I have considerable experience in senior management positions in a variety of industries. I have served on the boards of a number of companies. In addition I have a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, having spent significant periods as Financial Accountant and Management Accountant in a US multinational pharmaceutical company.I served successfully as Managing Director of BPP Ireland for almost 17 years, until the acquisition of BPP Holdings plc (the UK listed parent company) by a US listed company. BPP Ireland was one of the leading providers of professional accountancy courses in Ireland and achieved the highest quality standards from global accountancy bodies including the ACCA, AICPA-CIMA and CPA institutes.I also served as the Finance Director of Dublin Business School (now part of Kaplan) for 3 years. In this role I was responsible for the prudent financial management of the company during a major expansion phase. This expansion included a multi-million euro re-development and expansion of its main campus in Dublin 2. I was involved in restructuring the company to optimise its tax status. I have also worked in the US Pharmaceutical sector in senior positions for 9 years with National Medical Care (manufacturers of medical devises in Ireland). I was the Financial Accountant in NMC for 5 years and was the Management Accountant for a further 4 years. In my role as Financial Accountant I was responsible for a team of 3 staff (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and weekly payroll for over 200 staff). In my role as Management Accountant my responsibilities included budget preparation, product costing and the preparation of the monthly management accounts etc.)I also co-founded First Intuition Ireland (now First Financial Training) in 2013 where I continue to serve as Managing Director. First Financial Training specialises in the development and delivery of corporate training and professional accounting courses for customers in China, the UK, Poland and Ireland.I have extensive International experience in the development and delivery of both corporate training and professional accountancy training . I currently deliver courses in a number of leading Chinese Universities (SUFE, XJTU, TUFE, NAU etc.), in Jamaica (for the ACCA study School), in Sri Lanka (Co-hosting an ACCA conference), in Poland, in Ireland & in the UK (ACCA, AICPA-CIMA & ICAEW courses).
