Former US Navy Machinists' Mate Nuclear instructor at Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) Charleston in South Carolina; as an instructor at NPTU I taught students in their final leg of the US Navy's Nuclear propulsion program to use the knowledge they garnered in A-School and Power-School on an operating nuclear power plant. I had been at NPTU Charleston for 3 years; for the first 2 years I was on crew as an instructor, and the last year has been off crew as the Log Room Technical Assistant (LRTA); I assisted in coordinating divisional work, generating shutdown plans, routing technical procedure changes, ordering supplies, and supervising hold students. I had been in 9 years, my contract has now concluded. I have now started afresh in Los Alamos NM as an accelerator operator; the learning never stops.
