Start to take up full responsibility for China operation for its industrial batteries and automotive businesses.

Wih an annual turnover of 500M Euro, FIAMM group is focused in manufacture and sales of industrial batteries, starter batteries and also the automobile horns for its global market. One of the manufacturing bases is located in Wuhan Economic Zone to capture Asian market including Singapore, Korea, Japan, Hongkong, and of course China, My role is to monitor the finance and control function for its Wuhan factory and the sales offices in Asia.

GBIL is a private group company owned by a Swedish investment fund, specializing in beauty and hair growth services in retail market and yield annual sales now over USD200M, GBIL owns several well known brands including Mariefrance Bodyline, Svenson Haircare, and Bella Skincare. GBIL has developed over 150 centers amongst South East Asia including Hongkong, and 63 centers in China covering 4 primary cities and 22 second tier cities. Bearing as China Finance Director, I head a team of 80 staffs worldwide and be fully responsible to the whole Group’s finance function, the role is reported to the Board of Directors for the Group’s financial performance on quarterly basis including operational performance review, budget controls, cashflow forecasts and ad hoc project discussions.

Turnover for China business grew from triple from 2007 to 2010 with the number of centers grow from 15 stores to 60 stores in China in 4 primary cities and 22 second tier cities. Headed a team of 30 staffs in 3 offices (Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou) and be reported to the Group CFO and CEO, I was recruited in this key position as replacement to manage the whole China finance function including HR & IT and to support China CEO in all aspect of business operations including business development, back office costs and working capital controls, product development and new store evaluations.

Asia Foods & Properties Limited, a subsidiary under Sinar Mas Group, is focused in plantation and trading crude palm oil all over the world. Its China division is focused in the manufacturing of Instant Noodle, Packaging and Property Development in China. Head a team of 50 finance staffs in various locations in China, I reported to the Group CFO in Singapore office and the owner of the company on regular basis.

Hong Kong

JSSHK is the holding company of Swire Pacific, a multinational group featured in Aviation, Beverages, Trading & Industrial, Properties and Marine Industries. The Group Internal Audit Department (GIAD) assesses and monitors the risk profiles of all industries. My role is to highlight risks and suggest recommendations to the Group Internal Audit Manager who reports directly to John Swire & Sons, UK.

Guangzhou, Guangdong, China

During the period, I focused on multinational customers in PRC. As the project coordinator, I have to liaise with various parties including customers, lawyers, and PRC tax departments.

I have been working with Coopers & Lybrand since August 1993 starting as trainee and subsequently promoted to audit supervisor in 1996.
