I am a time served Engineer and have been in supervisory and managerial positions for most of my working life and have spent my entire career in the food industry covering fresh, frozen and ready to eat products in both the poultry and salad sectors, I have also spent some time working on the manufacture and installation of of food processing equipment spending a year as the workshop manager of a company that made, installed and maintained vegetable processing and grading equipment.I am a passionate advocate of Preventative Planned Maintenance and have set up and/or managed several systems to great effect.I have excellent people skills and enjoy the challenges of man management, team building, team development and motivation.I am also a firm believer in the virtues of lean manufacturing and see it as the way forward in our ever competitive market place.I work closely with health and safety developing safe systems of work for some of our more dangerous equipment such as fryers and thermal oil systems and am heavily involved in group level safety audits on all the plant across the site.
