I am an experienced expert on international development cooperation, corporate social responsibility (CSR), human rights and sustainability. I am responsible for coordination and effective implementation of Oxfam Novib's advocacy on Dutch government policy on the quality of aid, human rights, civic space, gender equality, climate change and foreign policy. I order to achieve this, I coordinate the work of a team of 17 lobbyists. I also represent Oxfam Novib in sector organizations Partos and Goede Doelen Nederland, and in the Dutch MVO Platform network.

The Hague Area, Netherlands

Initiator, project leader Dutch Fair Bank Guide (Eerlijke Bankwijzer) and member of the Fair Finance Guide project group. I was responsible for promoting sustainable investments of banks, insurance companies and pension funds on areas like climate and energy, greater transparency of investments, living wages, biodiversity, investments in controversial arms trade, access to medicines and combating land grabbing. I was also a negotiator on behalf of Oxfam Novib within multistakeholder agreements on corporate social responsibility for banks and insurance companies. I was responsible for the implementation of the banking agreement on behalf of Oxfam Novib, including being a member of the steering committee with banks, trade unions and the Dutch government. From July 2018 - September 2021, I was responsible on behalf of Oxfam Novib for the implementation of the insurance sector covenant. I also worked part-time on Oxfam Novib's advocacy in the Dutch parliament on development cooperation (aid), corporate social responsibility and human rights & civic space.

Responsible for: line management, financial and policy management, subsidy acquisition, production of annual plans. Political lobby in the Netherlands and EU. Initiation & organization of several successful campaigns on corporate social responsibility, including campaigns on the promotion of sustainable wood. Spokesperson for professional and national media. Organization of projects aimed at strengthening civic space in Burma, in exile in neighboring countries and in The Netherlands. Conducting various fact-finding missions to Burma/Myanmar, Thailand, India and Bangladesh.

Public education, advocacy, network building, supervision of volunteers and interns, media spokesperson, coordination and implementation of various projects (e.g. on impact of oil extraction in Nigeria on human rights and the environment, and sustainable alternatives to regular aviation).
