Solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), and combined Solar + BESS integration of grid tied inverters, BMS, HVAC, RTU, and balance of plant equipment into Schneider Electric Modicon M340 and M580 based power plant controllers. Designing, testing, and commissioning of control systems for various industrial processes, and grid-tied power conversion equipment. Focusing on battery based energy storage applications. Hardware and software design for these systems including containerization (ISO shipping containers, and purpose built enclosures). Experienced with Wago (CoDeSys), and Siemens (TIA Portal) PLC programming. Established business unit’s sole proficiency with National Instrument’s (NI) LabVIEW programming environment, and NI’s cRIO (configurable real-time I/O hardware and CPUs), including NI’s Xillinx based FPGA targets (Field Programmable Gate Array). Extensive use and familiarity with Parker SSD inverters in grid-tied operation, both current based systems (closed loop, real and reactive power controls) and voltage based systems (micro-grid control of 3 phase AC voltage and frequency).
