Key's mission is to assist youth and their families in developing positive life skills and experiences so that they may pursue productive and rewarding lives. As a Caseworker, I assisted in providing intense family intervention, counseling, and advocacy in all life domains. As a Therapeutic Mentor, I provided one-on-one strength-based support services to help address the daily living and social needs of youth. I also coordinated with teams of mental healthcare professionals in order to provide services that continuously adapted and met the client's needs.

Greater Boston Area

As a Residential Tutor with the UMass Boston Upward Bound program, I supported both first-generation and low-income high school students in their preparation for college. My role included in-classroom support, individual and group tutoring, and the facilitation of a Social Justice workshop.

Henry Grew Elementary School, Hyde Park, Ma 02136

I served at Henry Grew Elementary School in Hyde Park, acting as an ELA tutor for students in a 4th-grade classroom. As a Corps Member my role was to help bridge the gap between the support students need and what schools are able to provide. Outside of the school I was part of a team that evaluated educational data, which was then utilized to implement initiatives that ensured the highest quality support for students.

Amherst, Ma

As a Resident Assistant, I was part of a team that built a residence hall community, as well as supporting student academic and personal growth. My role included being responsible for a floor of 35 students, developing meaningful relationships with each individual, and responding to emergencies. In addition, I worked with my teammates to develop events surrounding a wide variety of topics, including health education and social justice.

Camp Harrington, Boylston, Ma

As an Adventure Course Leader, I led groups through ropes courses and team-building activities for the purpose of developing confidence, empowerment, and team dynamics. No two days were ever alike, with me adapting activities to suit the goals of the group and accommodate any needs, supporting the development of a healthy body and mind.
