Management of international direct hires required writing performance evaluations, assigning work and developing individual work plans.• Managed a residential complex housing American US Diplomats and their families. Scope of responsibilities entailed management of 11 acres, 167 housing units, 62 short-term housing units, utility systems, recreation (Gymnasium, Community Center, Library, Swimming Pool), television satellite systems, commissary, three pre-schools, and dining facilities within Tokyo.• Contracting Officer Representative, overseeing all maintenance contracts worth more than $7 million annually. • Played a key role in assisting in financial planning that included determining long and short term funding requirements for facility operations and maintenance, justifying budget requests to higher authorities, and controlling and reporting program expenditures. • Recruited, interviewed, promoted, trained, established performance measures and managed maintenance staff.• Managed the emergency preparedness program; (e.g. execution of alerts, mobilization support, mission assurance plans, floor wardens, first responders, etc.). Through this program, was able to establish an effective Evacuation Control Center within hours of the 3/11 Fukushima earthquake on the housing compound in Tokyo.
